Rating
A unique 0-cost Attack whose damage plummets as your hand fills up. With an empty hand it hits for 13 (16 Upgraded), but with 5 other cards in hand it only manages 3. The strongest pairing is Bullet Time — spend the whole hand for 0, then fire Honed Edge for the full 16. Shines in decks aiming at Grand Finale or any "play your whole hand" style. Hand management is required, so it skews towards intermediate-to-advanced pilots.
How to Use
- Use it as the last card of the turn after emptying the rest of your hand. 0 cost means it's never in the way.
- After Bullet Time makes your hand 0-cost and you dump it all, close with Honed Edge for max damage.
- Playing it right after Acrobatics or Calculated Gamble fills the hand — the opposite of what you want.
- You need to plan turn order from deck construction onwards — tracking hand size is essential.
- Running multiple copies is tricky; usually one copy works as a "final blow" card.
Synergies / Deck Types
- Bullet Time: makes the hand 0-cost. Play everything, empty your hand, close with Honed Edge for max damage.
- Grand Finale: 50 AoE damage when draw pile is 0. Same "maximize damage on a specific condition" theme — they coexist well.
- Well-Laid Plans: end-of-turn Retain. Save Honed Edge for next turn so it comes out after the hand has been emptied.
- Dexterous Craft: Skill that refills the hand to 6. As long as play order is correct, Honed Edge stays last.
